At Postage Logistics Group, we prioritize quick and efficient delivery for your express packages. This guide explains the processing timeline for express packages and how different days of the week can affect when your package is made available for pickup at your local branch.
Processing Time: Express packages are typically available at your local branch within 48-72 hours of being processed in the warehouse.
Next-Day Batch: Packages processed after 12:00 PM (Midday) will be added to the next day’s batch for delivery. This means they will be handled the following business day.
Packages processed in the warehouse between Friday and Sunday will experience a delay due to Jamaica Customs not operating on weekends. Here's how it works:
Friday-Sunday Processing: These packages will not be cleared by Jamaica Customs until the following Mondayor Tuesday.
Monday-Wednesday Availability: Depending on when your package was processed over the weekend, it will be cleared and made available at your local branch between Monday and Wednesday.
Jamaica Customs does not open on weekends, which prevents the clearance of packages. Clearance resumes on Monday, so any packages processed over the weekend will follow this adjusted schedule for availability.
To ensure you are informed about when your express package will be ready for pickup, be mindful of the processing times, especially for shipments processed on weekends. Packages are typically available within 48-72 hours, but weekend delays can push availability to the following Monday-Wednesday.
